Who Is In Your Inner Circle?

I love the outdoors and fishing is one activity that does not stop to intrigue me.

As I write this post, two items used on boats come to mind: an anchor and a motor. Take a moment and think about the function of both.

An anchor keeps the boat still, while a motor propels the boat in the desired direction.

People sometimes play the roles that anchors and motors play as well.

People around you can steady you when the storm comes. Helping you stay rooted and grounded in what you believe, not drifting away.

People can also keep you back from your dreams, constantly reminding you of your past failures and mistakes.

People in your life can also energize and inspire you. Energizing you to go further faster.

My question is two fold:

1. Who do you have in your inner circle? Often times the first thing that comes to mind when people are faced with questions like this is friends. Which is true, friends fit in here perfectly.

However, you should not be limited to people you know.

You can create your own network of inspiring people by listening to or reading their resources.

Regardless of the type of people you have in your life you can create your own circle of influence, by carefully choosing people you listen to or watch.

Allow these people to inspire you, shape the way you think.

Do you want to change your future? Start by carefully looking through your playlist or your library.

If the resources in your library add value to you, then you are on the right track. If not, your changes should start there. Your dreams are achievable, create an enabling environment around yourself and make those dreams come true.

2. How will people around you describe you?

Who are you to other people around you?

Do you add value to them or simply take from them?

Choose to be a voice of encouragement, not only are you encouraging someone else you are encouraging yourself too.

Success in any area of life is intentional, so go ahead and make success real in your life.

How To Build Strong Relationships-1

Imagine this.

You meet two people and it is so obvious they are in love.

In your mind you are thinking , ” this is so cute, most likely they are planning their wedding.”

A few minutes later you start chatting with them, only to find out they have been married for almost 10 years  and even have children.

So what comes to mind next?

Maybe a question such as: ” How do you build lasting love relationships?” or ” How do you nurture marriage relationships”?

I remember as a young girl I used to wonder how love can last forever. I had questions on what it takes to build a strong  relationship.

Long before I got married, I started paying attention to people with admirable marriage relationship just to learn what they do differently that make their marriage beautiful. I also started feeding off materials on the subject.  One thing I have realized is that since we are all different, there is no “one size fit all” approach to relationships. However, there are general principles that cuts across the board and form the bedrock of strong relationships.

One key principle that I have learnt is TRUST.

Trust is the foundation of all successful relationships. Nothing could be more disheartening than to find out that your partner  is completely different from who you thought he/she was.

You are not perfect.

Guess what? No one is.

Love who you are, don’t try to be someone else.

Instead, work at becoming the best “you” you can possibly be. Just as you are not perfect, your partner is not perfect either. Accept him/her the way he/she is and grow together.

If you have ever wondered what your dream can do ?

If you have ever underestimated your potential to influence the world positively…

His life was cut shot and he did not witness the fulfilment of that dream, but his legacy still inspires the world till this day

Or a dream to build tools that brings ease and comfort into people’s lives.

It does not matter how big it is… those dreams can come true.

There is so much power in the human spirit to bring to bear any aspiration.

Don’t just dream, work hard on your dream to bring it to reality.

Invest in your self to be the best you can possibly be.

3 Tips For Starting Your Day Strong

Have you ever wondered how to start your day strong …?

Starting your day in such a way that enhances your productivity?

One thing I have come to terms with is that the way you start your day shapes the entire  day.

Doing these 3 things will shape your day in an amazing way.

Start your day taking care of yourself.

Invest in yourself, spirit, soul and body.

Wondering how to do this?

I have listed the 3 most important points below.

1. Start your day with God:

Making a conscious effort to nourish your spirit is one of the best ways to start your morning.

I personally enjoy listening to inspiring music as I pray in early in the morning. I find this habit very energizing. I feel all pumped before my day starts.

What many of us do not realize is that, day-to-day activities drain us.
There is a need to consciously replenish ourselves.

The best way to get this done is to  spend sometime in prayer.

Find what works best for you. If you have little children you might want to plan a time when they are still in bed to eliminate distractions.

No matter what you choose to do, remember you are a spirit, you live in a body and you have a soul.

Taking care of your spirit is actually taking care of you.

2.  Exercise :

Incorporating a great work out regimen into your morning is another way to give your morning a great start.

Apart for the health benefits that come with a great exercise regimen.

A good exercise gives you a great energy boost.

3. Think Through Your Day and Have A Plan :

Start your day by thinking through the entire day.

What will you like to accomplish today?

Write down the ultimate goal for the day.

Write down activities you need to carry out to make your ultimate goal for the day a reality.

Spend time to think through your day, and plan for it.

When you have a good plan to succeed, you will.

Success on a daily basis leads to a successful year.

Successful years equal successful life.

Start creating the life you want today.

You will be glad you did.
